We are planning a winter weekend get-away to Lake Geneva. The weekend is Friday, February 1 through Sunday, February 3, 2008. Many of us have been up there for summer and fall activities. We thought it would be fun to do a winter trip. The week of January 30 through February 3, 2008 is Lake Geneva’s annual Winterfest. Lake Geneva for the past several years has been chosen as the site for the National Snow Sculpting Competition. The judging is done on Saturday, February 2. Click on the link below for more information. If you are interested in joining us, contact Ray Dertz or Mike Dunphy.

The studio will be closed on Friday, September 14th, for the Lake Michigan Cruise.  It will be open again on Saturday the 15th for private lessons.

Earlier, we wrote:

City Lights Cruises has published its cruise schedule for September. The cruise date which we were hoping for, September 8th, is not available, so we need to pick another date. Which one works best for you? Vote on the sidebar to the right, or tell us at the studio, and we’ll try to go with the consensus. If you cannot go on the day chosen for the group outing, you still have the option of going on any other day on the schedule. Just let us know, and we’ll make your reservation for you and give you your tickets.

Which date would be the best for our Lake Michigan Cruise?

8/24/07 - Voting is completed and the studio has chosen to go on Friday the 14th.  Please get your money to Michael as soon as possible, so that we can get a definite headcount, reserve our spots (before someone else takes them) , and look into renting a bus.

The showcase is coming soon!  It will be on Sunday, June 10 from 4 to 8:00 pm at Ashton Place.  Tickets are $35 for dinner, dancing and the show, and the proceeds go to a good cause: to help out the local vets of VFW District 18, Post 5917.

Because of the showcase, we delayed the New Beginnings Sunday Night Singles Dance until June 24 at 7:00 pm.  In July, we will return to the regular second Sunday of the month schedule with a singles dance on July 8th.

Join us in Bristol, Wisconsin on July 27, 28 and 29 for the studio outing to the Renaissance Faire.

The Lake Michigan Cruise is planned for the evening of Saturday, September 8th.  Tickets are $40 for dinner, dancing and drinks on the Lake, a $30 discount off the regular price. [There is a two drink minimum which we have to pay in advance, so the price is a bit higher than we were expecting.  We are also waiting for confirmation that there will be a cruise on the 8th.  You can check the cruise schedule yourself on the City Lights Cruises website at www.citylightscruises.com/CLCUISchedule.aspxere.]

For those of you who love and miss our regular Sunday evening Singles dances - here is a treat for you. Sunday, April 29th at 6:00 pm Sweetwater Restaurant and Martini Lounge will be opening their doors to Two Left Feet Dance Clubs as a place for us to meet, mingle and be merry! The kitchen will be open at 6:00 for dinner or snacks, we will have a one hour dance lesson at 7:00 pm and then general dancing will begin at 8:00 and go to 10:00 pm! OH WHAT A NIGHT IT WILL BE! You can’t afford to miss this one cause the dance lesson is only $5.00.
Tell every one you know, this will be a huge event!
