It isn’t too soon to start thinking about next spring’s showcase. The theme will be the board game Monopoly. We have specific dances associated with the different properties & people are already signing up. To reserve your spot in the program, see Mike at the front desk.

Jon will be teaching a West Coast Swing class on Wednesdays at 7:30pm starting next week (2/25/09). It will be an eight-week long class teaching us a complete routine to perform at the studio showcase in April.
The cost is $115 for eight weeks of choreography plus one final week practice party and styling tips for presentation. If you would like to join the class, please email Jon at cjonsqqss@yahoo.com, or leave a message at 630-717-9930.
Jon also has a hustle class planned for Thursdays at 7pm starting March 5th.

Directions to the VFW:
Take 355 south to the 159th Street/IL-7 exit.
Follow the signs for Lockport (go west) 1.4 miles.
Follow IL-7 as it makes a shallow left and go another 0.4 miles
to 1026 E 9th St., Lockport, IL 60441
The VFW will be on your right.
You can also take IL-53 south 0.8 miles past Lewis University
to IL-7/9th street, then turn left
and go 2.1 miles. The VFW will be on your left.

Join us Saturday, October 27th, at 3 pm for our Fall Showcase, to see what some of our dancers have been working on lately.
Then around 5 pm, we will have a buffet-style potluck dinner. Stick around or return at 7 pm for a costume dance party with halloween-themed music. Come in costume to win a prize for the best, worst, most creative or craziest costume. |

The whole afternoon and evening’s activities cost just $10.00 — and just $5, if you bring a side dish to share at dinner. |

The showcase is coming soon! It will be on Sunday, June 10 from 4 to 8:00 pm at Ashton Place. Tickets are $35 for dinner, dancing and the show, and the proceeds go to a good cause: to help out the local vets of VFW District 18, Post 5917.
Because of the showcase, we delayed the New Beginnings Sunday Night Singles Dance until June 24 at 7:00 pm. In July, we will return to the regular second Sunday of the month schedule with a singles dance on July 8th.
Join us in Bristol, Wisconsin on July 27, 28 and 29 for the studio outing to the Renaissance Faire.
The Lake Michigan Cruise is planned for the evening of Saturday, September 8th. Tickets are $40 for dinner, dancing and drinks on the Lake, a $30 discount off the regular price. [There is a two drink minimum which we have to pay in advance, so the price is a bit higher than we were expecting. We are also waiting for confirmation that there will be a cruise on the 8th.
