Bhangra Dance!

July 20th at 1:00PM
Instructed by Susan Warner of Real Women Bellydance

Bhangra dance is a geographically distinct type of dance from the Punjab region of India. Bhangra dancing traditionally celebrates harvest time, but thanks to pop culture, it has modernized into a funky dance style and cardio workout with energy that is contagious. Dancers of all ages should come and experience this world dance phenomenon!

This class teaches Bhangra vocabulary and some choreography combinations to upbeat Bhangra Dance music. Please wear clothes you can sweat in. Traditionally, Bhangra dancers perform barefoot, but shoes appropriate for working-out are recommended based on the individual’s physical health.

Bhangra dance is not bellydance, but a geographically distinct type of dance from the Punjab region of India.
