Post subscriptions

If you would like to be notified whenever someone posts a new item on the blog, click on Subscribe at the top of the blog, and enter your email address.  You will then receive an email every time a new post appears on the post.

If you do not see the emails, they are probably being filtered out by a spam blocker.  All email from the Two Left Feet blog will have a subject that starts with “[Two Left Feet]”.  See Michael if you need help setting up your email to let email from the blog through.

You can control the format of the email you receive by logging in, clicking on the profile tab, then clicking on the subscriptions tab, and setting the options.

Comment subscriptions

If you click on the last line above a post, the one that says “No Comments”, “[2] comments”, etc., you can comment on what you have read and read other people’s comments.  Just below the space for your comment, there is a checkbox that you can check to be notified of any replies.  If you just want to follow a discussion without making a comment of your own, at the bottom of the comments there is a place for you to do that.

As with the post subscriptions, if you subscribe for new comments and do not see the notifications that you should be seeing, you probably need to set your spam blocker to let emails through that have subjects starting with “[Two Left Feet]”.

If any of this does not make any sense, stop by the front desk, and I’ll walk you through how to subscribe or set up a filter.

To comment on something you read here, click on where it says “No Comments”, “1 Comment”, etc., then type in your name, your email address, and your message, then click the “Submit Comment” button.

If you want to be able to create your own topics, instead of just commenting on other people’s topics, scroll up to the Post box on the top right of the screen, click on Register, and type in the i.d. you want to use on our blog plus an email address where you can be reached. Or, if you prefer, stop by the front desk and ask Michael to create an account for you.

2/25/08: For some reason this post has proven very popular with spammers — over 1000 ads for various products have been placed in the comments here — so we are disallowing additional comments on ‘How to make a comment’.

This is the first posting to our new blog.  Feel free to jump right in and let us know what you think about dancing.
