February 2008

Bhangra dance is not bellydance, but a geographically distinct type of dance from the Punjab region of India. Bhangra dancing traditionally celebrates harvest time, but thanks to pop culture it has modernized into a funky dance style and cardio workout with energy that is contagious! Open for men and women of all ages!

Who?

This workshop is for the dancer who is looking to add another level to her dance. You have the moves, now it’s time to work on the fine points of performance. 4 experienced teachers–and exciting performers–join forces to help you shine on stage.

Why?

Most workshops focus on teaching the technique of a specific dancer, or the perfection of a specific move. We wanted a workshop that got right to the heart of performance, teaching elements that transcend differences of style or genre. Here it is!

Sultry Salsa Call us at 630-717-9930 to register for one of our Wednesday evening salsa or bachata workshops.

This week on the 6th, and next week, on the 13th, Jed Walker will have salsa workshops for those who have completed his beginner workshop, or who have equivalent experience.

On the 20th, Jed will hold a bachata workshop open to all.

On the 27th, he will have his beginner salsa workshop.  This class is good for people new to salsa, but even if you already know some salsa, this class can help you with your technique or teach you a new turn combination.
